Oh great, I'm so happy!!! hehe I actually live quite close to Clementine... and that's not a coincidence! My boyfriend and I tried their reuben a few weeks ago, and we're still talking about how amazing it was.

Nina,
This morning I had the best not-right-out-the-oven scone EVAR and wanted to thank you for first pointing out Clementine! This place is not very close to where I live/work, but thankfully it is on my way back from the orthodontist's office! Over the last year or so, I've tried many of their fabulous cold case items but mostly gone with Moravian Sugar Bread or a chocolate-chip cookie on the pastry side. Most times I've bought scones at a bakery, they were too dry, too low on sweetness and just plain disappointing. But now happily there's a place to go to for the most delicious, flaky scones! Thank you! :)

[...] It was two years ago that I first found out that Clementine, one of my favorite bakery/cafes in Los Angeles, makes at least one specialty grilled cheese sandwich every day during the month of April (closed Sundays). Their most standard version is an aged Vermont Cheddar on Country White Bread, with a choice of bacon and/or roasted cherry tomatoes, but looking at their brochure, it’s obvious that they are mining from a very deep knowledge and love for variations of melty cheese and toasty bread.
