I can’t wait until it cools down — woohoo August is over! I’m kind of arbitrarily going to say Oct 1 for USPS nationwide. It’ll probably still be warm in LA until Nov, but as long as it’s cooler in the rest of the country, I can always just put an ice pack in the package to make sure that it’ll get out of LA safely. I think October should be safe in most areas of the country.
Priority mail is often faster than UPS ground, so I’m considering allowing it to some locations even sooner. It seems like to NYC is always 2 days, and probably most major cities — except Chicago seems to be 3 days. I’ll keep you posted!

Congrats, I just got my copy in the mail over the weekend. Just curious, do you see a surge in sales after articles like this?

Sara - Thanks! Well, it really varies. In this case, the mention was pretty small and among others on the page, so I’m getting a slight increase. If it were on the cover or a whole page on its own, it’d be a different story. So far, the best press mentions have been online when people can immediately click over and check it out.
The article is posted on their website, but it’s kind of hard to find… I’m hoping that someone will link to the article on a well-trafficked food site or even stumbleupon to direct attention to it so that people will find it and click over.
But in the long run, it’ll be help in sales to be able to say “featured in Bon Appetit magazine,” and it is an honor just to be mentioned!
